How to Choose the Right Product for You
With so many options in this range, it helps to know what to look for. Here's a quick guide to finding the right fit for your routine.
1. Pick a format you'll actually use
Capsules are the easiest to fit into a busy day and are handy for travel. Powders, like our super greens and mushroom elixirs, mix into smoothies, shakes or warm drinks. Liquid extracts are added to water and suit anyone who doesn't like swallowing capsules. Our magnesium spray is applied straight onto the skin.
2. Get to know the key ingredients
Ashwagandha is a root that has been used in Ayurvedic tradition for centuries. Check the extract type: KSM-66 is a branded extract made only from the root, and some formulas add black pepper extract.
Rhodiola rosea is a herb that grows in cold, mountainous regions of Europe and Asia.
Maca and ginseng are roots with a long history of traditional use in Peru and East Asia.
Lion's mane is an edible mushroom. "Dual extract" means it has been extracted with both water and alcohol.
Magnesium and B vitamins are worth a look if you want a formula with authorised benefits. Magnesium contributes to normal psychological function and the normal functioning of the nervous system. Vitamins B6 and B12 also contribute to normal psychological function.
3. Single ingredient or blend?
Single-ingredient products let you know exactly what you're taking. Blends are convenient if you'd like several ingredients in one product. If you take more than one, check the labels so you don't double up on the same ingredient.
4. Check it fits your diet
Look for vegan, organic and non-GMO labels on each product page if these matter to you.
5. A quick note on safety
Food supplements should not replace a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Don't take more than the recommended daily amount. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have a medical condition, speak to your GP or pharmacist first.
